All members of the university community are invited to join us for dinner and a lecture by Professor Kevin Carr entitled "Hot News from the Universe."

Guests will include Pluto and Friends (fresh from their New Horizons comeback tour), Mars will be here for a makeover, Proxima B discusses her new role as Goldilocks, and a we will review the new and provocative musical release from the band Two Black Holes Collide.

Kevin Carr has taught astronomy in the Pacific University College of Arts of Sciences in addition to teaching and preparing science teachers in the College of Education. He has also been published seven times for his contributions to research and writings on becoming and being a teacher. On top of all this, Kevin Carr is also the Director of the Master of Arts in Teaching STEM/ESOL program on the Woodburn Campus.
