The Annual Kniep Lecture Series presents Ed Lengel to deliver the lecture; "Setting the Example: Presidential Leadership in Crisis, from George Washington to the Twenty-First Century."

Monday, Sept. 17 at 4:30 pm in the Tom Miles Theater

Ed Lengel is currently the Revolutionary in Residence at Colonial Williamsburg. He was Chief Historian at the White House Association for two years. He was a Professor and Director of the Washington Papers at UVA 2010-2016.

Some of his public history work to be published are "Never in Finer Company: The Men of the Great War's Lost Battalion" (Da Capo Press, Sept 2018) and "Light Horse Harry Lee" (University of Virginia Press, forthcoming).  

His recent awards include the Outstanding Book Award, Army Historical Foundation for Thunder and Flames, 2015 and the Master Corporal Jan Stanislaw Jakobczak Memorial Book Award, U.S. Military History Group for Thunder and Flames, 2015.
